Here at the Dubuque Ikes IDPA club it is always safety first.
We run a COLD range, this means you will not enter the range HOT (with weapons loaded) There are designated areas for handling ammunition and loading mags.
There is a separate area for handling firearms, getting holster on etc.
Only when called to the line and instructed by an SO will you be allowed to handle your firearm and ammunition.
Eye and ear protection is mandatory for everyone on the range and this includes spectators.
